Corrado Azzali, the first and actual manager of the Orso Diving Club was born in Salsomaggiore T. in 1960. In 1978 he first discovered what he would later dedicate his life and career to; scuba diving.<\/p>\n
In 1982 Corrado became a Dive Master and in 1986 an Instructor.<\/p>\n
In 1987 Corrado set up his own Diving Centre, Orso Diving Center, after experiencing life as a Dive Guide and Instructor for 3 seasons in the Maldives.<\/p>\n
In the following years, Corrado spent the summer seasons in Sardinia, and the winter ones in the Tropics:<\/p>\n
1983 \u2013 1991 in the Maldives (the last four seasons on cruise boats);
1991 \u2013 1992 on Similand Island, again on a cruise boat;
1992 \u2013 1996 in Egypt, Sudan and Cayo Largo Island (Cuba).<\/p>\n
In these years, Corrado worked side by side with the wonderful Maddy, who sadly passed away in 96. They planned, started and managed nearly ten Diving Centers and Cruising Boats. Most of the times they are real \u201ctrend setters\u201d: they are the first ones to organize cruises in the Maldives and Similand, the first ones to open and manage a Diving Center in Sudan, the first foreign society to lead a Diving Center in Cuba.
In 1993 Corrado meets Paola Pegoraro and in 1995 they get married. Corrado has now stopped working with activities abroad, in order to follow exclusively the Diving Base in Sardinia with Paola.
From \u201992 to \u201997 they directed the diving vacations sectors of different Travel Agencies, such as Line Diving \u2013 Grantour and Going Diving of Going Tours.<\/p>\n

In 1998 Corrado and Paola created their own Tour Operator called \u201cI Viaggi dell\u2019Orso\u201d, selling only locations directly managed by themselves (Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Port Sudan, Cayo Largo and Sardinia).<\/p>\n
From 2000 Paola & Corrado manage only the first Orso Diving Club, in Poltu Quatu – Sardinia – thinking to a new idea of diving center, the floating one! In these year the family grows with Asia in 1996 and Alessio in 1999<\/p>\n
From 2000 to 2012, Orso Diving has continued to grow and evolve, acquiring new and more advanced boats, adding new excursions such as snorkeling and whale watching and adding new underwater destinations like Isola Cerbicale (South East Corsica).<\/p>\n
Orso Diving also grew from a teaching point of view, becoming a PADI Resort 5 * and DSAT (PADI Technical Division) and a real international center where you can talk and do underwater recreational and technical courses in all the most popular languages.<\/p>\n
In 2013, with the advent of the two new young partners, Alessandro Boschi and Luca Magliacca, Orso Diving has had a lot of innovation and enthusiasm.
Luca Magliacca in particular will take care, of the %22Orso Tec Department%22, a sector dedicated to diving and teaching of technical diving. While Alessandro Boschi in addition to dealing with recreational education will also be the manager and instructor of the field %22Apnea or freedive%22<\/p>\n
In 2017 l’Orso add the SSI didactics, with new courses to offer. In 2018 Luca Magliacca after a long training becomes INSPIRATION Rebreather Instructor and in the same year Orso Diving becomes a Mares center with new, safe and modern diving equipments.<\/p>\n
In 2019 comes a new power cat %22Scuba Cat%22 (motor catamaran the evolution of the current Orso-Cat) equipped with electric lift for the convenience of diversely disabled divers and tech divers. In the same year Alessandro Boschi becomes SSI Instructor Trainer and Orso a Diamond Instructor Diving Center and a DDI diving centre suitable for the disabled.<\/p>\n
In 2020 … with its 34 seasons is ready for a difficult season for the Covid-19 emergency that is marking the world, but strong of its longevity continues to evolve and resist. As news: 6 news SUEX underwater scooter, back to the full-day exursions for divers and companions, and SSI diving instructor course.<\/p>\n
2021- 35th season … Year of important news, with the decision of the two minority partners Luca and Alessandro to leave the company to take other paths, the Azzali family including their children Asia and Alessio is once again in full command of the Orso<\/span><\/span> Diving Club with the usual enthusiasm, desire to grow and improve!<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>For operational reasons above all, the legendary Orso-Cat was sold and \u201cLevante\u201d a new 7.50m rubber boat arrived.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 2022\/2024 – 36\/37 and the upcoming 38th season… Orso Diving Club has grown over the last three years in the most rewarding and popular sectors with the general public, such as recreational diving (courses and excursions), snorkelling and sea watching, including dolphin and whale watching.<\/p>\n The fleet, again for commercial operational reasons, has been reduced, keeping the flagship Scuba Cat, the legendary mega rubber boat Mistral and the small G-48 for courses.<\/p>\n We have removed instructor training and, for the moment, technical diving, for commercial reasons; if our wrecks reopen for diving, we will consider resuming technical diving.<\/p>\n In this last season we selected a top international team led by our sons Asia and Alessio, who are growing in maturity and experience every year.<\/p>\n A special mention to our legendary %22Checco%22 (an expert dive guide and cetacean spotter) who will be with us for 17 seasons with us now.<\/p>\n This year, the ODC base contract was renewed for another 6 years so you will have to put up with us again until at least the end of 2030!<\/p>\n “]<\/p>\n Corrado Azzali, the first and actual manager of the Orso Diving Club was born in Salsomaggiore T. in 1960. Dall\u201988 al 90, affiancato da quello che poi divent\u00f2 anche mio socio e compagno d\u2019avventure Lorenzo Segalini, feci il responsabile della Safari Adventure Club un TO di Monza che nacque sulla scia dell\u2019esperienza che feci l\u2019anno prima nelle crociere subacquee, un To specializzandosi in questo settore e dove i clienti ODC si appoggiavano per venire a trovarmi alle Maldive.<\/p>\n Nel 90\/91 insieme agli amici Donatella Telli (Dodi), Massimo Sandrini e Lorenzo Segalini, formammo la Albatros Top Boat facendo costruire un yacht doni, il \u201cKureli\u201d, purtroppo per via della Guerra del Golfo quell\u2019anno sospesero i voli dall\u2019Italia e fallimmo in partenza.

Paola ed io, dovemmo ripartire da zero con solo ancora il marchio Orso Diving Club ma tanta determinazione di non mollare!
Visto che nell\u2019area di nostro interesse quella compresa tra Porto Cervo e Baja Sardinia, non si trovavano locali logisticamente idonei ad un diving center (Spazi idonei, vicinanza all\u2019acqua e agli imbarchi, parcheggi, ecc\u2026) pensai di costruirlo sull\u2019acqua! Pi\u00f9 vicino di cos\u00ec non si poteva! Lo progettai personalmente utilizzando 4 pontili galleggianti standard assemblati insieme cos\u00ec creando una piattaforma di 12x 12m. poi trovai su internet un’ azienda di Brescia che costruiva prefabbricati che realizz\u00f2 cos\u00ec la struttura ancorata alla piattaforma e ci misero solo due giorni a posizionarla!
Nella primavera del 2000 grazie ad un enorme sforzo finanziario a suon di cambiali, Orso Diving Club-Poltu Quatu rinasceva con un a nuova base, nuove barche tecniche ed innovative, nuove attrezzature e nuovi protagonisti, ma soprattutto grazie alla innovativa base galleggiante che ha portato un nuovo concetto di confort e logistica della subacquea. Paola ed io per la rinascita puntammo sulla qualit\u00e0 ed esclusivit\u00e0 dei servizi e fu subito successo.
Negli anni che vennero ODC continu\u00f2 a crescere migliorando le proprie barche ed i servizi ma soprattutto sapendo scegliere validi collaboratori fondamentali per il successo di Orso Divng Club!

La nuova base gallegiante fu collocata nel lato est del porto dove rimase fino al 2010, anno che ci spostammo nell\u2019attuale posizione del lato ovest del porto di Poltu Quatu.

\nIn pratica agivo come un vero Tour Operator fornendo pacchetti comprensivi di volo soggiorno ed immersioni e grazie alla filiera cortissima a prezzi bassissimi\u2026
\nEro di base all\u2019Isola di Halaveli, Attollo di Ari, dove accolsi i miei primi clienti nei mesi di dicembre e gennaio e fino a qui tutto bene, a febbraio arrivano gli amici della Mantova Sub, un gruppo di 33 o 34 persone tra cui una parte di sub assatanati con famiglie a seguito incluso donne incinte, nonni e figli\u2026 ebbene da questo gruppo, per colpa di un villaggio turistico che doveva aprire in coincidenza del loro arrivo ma non pot\u00e9 farlo per via di permessi, nacquero ufficialmente le crociere in barca per subacquei.\u2026storia lunga e complicato che un giorno racconter\u00f2!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nMentre Dodi e Massimo rimasero alle Maldive dove stanno tuttora gestendo diving e barche da crociera e diventando il noto TO \u201cAlbatros Top Boat\u201d, Lorenzo ed io decidemmo di cambiare aria andando all\u2019avventura in Thailandia per sondare il Mare delle Andamane.<\/p>\n
